When I set out to plan Bugaboo’s first birthday party (over a year ago!), I fell in love with the birthday chalkboard signs I saw featured at parties. They make a great backdrop for your party and I love how they recap your child’s year, listing everything from “Favorite Books” to how many teeth your child has. Kids change so quickly it is nice to capture their interests and celebrate them…before they all change the next day!!
Looking at the chalkboard signs, I knew I could create one for Bugaboo myself. I created the sign in Photoshop to look like a chalkboard. This made it much easier to edit and perfect the layout than had I created it on an actual chalkboard.
After creating Bugaboo’s birthday sign, or infographic, I realized I really enjoyed creating it and offered to create signs for some of my friends’ children. They each had different themes and color palettes they wanted and it was fun to come up with designs that fit into their parties. Here are a few of the signs I recently made for friends. Aren’t they fun!?
For Bugaboo’s birthday this year, I wanted to make another infographic for him but decided to switch it up a bit and create a board that fit better with our theme of classic Winnie the Pooh. The invitations feature a map of the Hundred Acre Wood and I used this as inspiration for this year’s board. Once it is framed, it is the perfect party decor!
I recently added these birthday signs to my BugabooCity Etsy Shop and am hoping to have the opportunity to create more of these birthday signs! What do you think? Do you like the trend of birthday signs?
