Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We spent all day Saturday gardening in our yard. It was a beautiful day and not too hot. We have a lot of spring cleanup to do in our garden beds and we were able to get one side of the house completely cleaned up. We even transplanted some hostas to a new location. My mom has been showing us the ropes when it comes to gardening. Last year we worked really hard on a garden area in our backyard and this year we are hoping to focus on the front yard. The warmer weather, gardening, and thinking of Mother’s Day in a couple weeks has really had me in a flower mood – and it’s showing up in my craft projects! I have two flower-themed treat boxes to share with you, both are perfect for Mother’s Day!
Today’s treat boxes are little flower seed packet pillow boxes. They are a great size for little treats. I filled mine with jellybeans and separated them by color to match the flower on the outside of the box. Any kind of small candy would be great in these, though. They are very easy to put together – plus, there is a free printable to download! Below is the tutorial :)
Supplies Needed for Flower Seed Packet Treat Box
- Free printables: Located at the end of this post
- White card stock. I used 110lb bright white paper
- Glue or tape runner
- Score board and stylus (optional)
Step 1: Print off the treat boxes using the free printable under “Supplies Needed”. Cut them out using a scissors.
Step 2: Fold along the dotted lines. If you have a score board and stylus, you can score along the straight lines before folding. I used the stylus but not the score board to score the curved lines.
Step 3: Adhere the sides of the treat box together using glue or a tape runner. Fold in the top and bottom of the box. It may help to add a small piece of tape on the bottom to keep it together. Fill the treat boxes with candy or little treats and enjoy!
I had a lot of fun filling and gifting these little treat boxes. They are perfect for spring and for Mother’s Day! I’ll be back next week with another flower-themed gift box! Have a great week!
